Please note that for any condition rating, we do not guarantee selenium-cell light meters which are built into cameras due to age. 'Ugly' rated items do not come with any warranty period. The item will function but will have some obvious defects - for example the slow shutter speeds may not be working, there may be a ding to a filter rim, deep scratches to optics, or significant signs of use and wear. Ugly: Ugly - only a mother could love it! Heavily used, beaten up, or whatever you want to call it. Will have obvious signs of use and/or minor issues - for example optics may have small defects, a built-in light meter may not work, there may be cosmetic imperfections - and so on - but nothing too detrimental to its functionality and the item will be mostly usable in it’s original capacity. Relatively poor condition overall but still fully working. Our standard condition rating.Īvg : Average. Some signs of use, but of course fully working unless otherwise stated. Used condition but good overall - what you might expect from a second hand item. Of course, everything is fully functional in all respects unless otherwise stated in the description.Įxc : Excellent. Very good condition, it will have seen light use and there will be some very minor cosmetic imperfections. We tend to use this rating sparingly.Įxc+ : Excellent Plus. Due to the sheer amount of different items coming in, we're unable to photograph each item individually. i love the potability of the small format cameras and my new Nikon G primes look amazing on 35mm, but the grain is just massive and the tonality often gets a little lost in the grain.Check our FAQ page for the answers to many commonly asked questions. I'm thinking on either purchasing a Nikon F6 or Mamiya 645AF in the next year or so. My question for the seasoned film shooters here, is there a significant difference in tonality and grain, going from 35mm to 645? i've heard there is, and that there isn't. You can find them for real cheap too with film backs and lenses too. I played around with a Mamiya 645 AFD about a year ago and thought it was a neat machine. Recently i've only shot Medium Format digital on a Hasselblad, but I don't like the ergonomics, or square format (for film) that Hasselblad's have. I'm sure there's many people who have shot the 6x4.5 format, i've been shooting with my F100 a ton lately (and been enjoying the process more than digital 0_0), and i'm curious about shooting medium format.
